In three episodes, uniquely created for Nowy Teatr, the Swedish artist Markus Öhrn in collaboration with actors from Nowy Teatr will take the audience once again into the dark corners of the patriarchal family.
The so-called nuclear family can become a model example of the emergence of violent structures. Markus Öhrn once again develops theatrical research on violence.
Markus Öhrn - (born 1972) one of the most interesting European directors. Swedish video artist and theatre director boldly proposing his own theatrical poetics derived from video art. Markus Öhrn's productions constantly stir controversy and are the cause of heated discussions about the limits of contemporary theatre. His trilogy: Contes d'amour, We Love Africa and Africa Loves Us and Bis zum Tod was presented at the most prestigious theatre festivals (Avignion, Vienna, Brussels, Berlin). In his performances he is far from the convention of traditional repertory theatre, scraps of text are for him only a commentary for radically artistic scenic situations. He uses video technology extensively, sometimes for most of the performance without giving the audience direct access to a live actor.
