GENERATION AFTER SHOWCASE: REALITY CHECK
SEPTEMBER 7-9, 2023, WARSAW

Our brains create neural constructs based on experiential learning: patterns of thinking derived from our real-life experiences. Since we have had the experience of gravity our whole life, we don't need to repeatedly question it. We simply know that we can't float or take off while walking. What's worse, we get used to war, humanitarian and economic crises. To the idea that man is inherently evil. We became so accustomed to our reality we forget we can question it.

So, if we do decide to question reality on a regular basis, it pulls our consciousness into the now. We may even consider the possibility that we could be dreaming at this very moment. That is why, during the 7th edition of the Generation After Showcase, with the invited artists and presenters, we will pay attention to our surroundings. We will study them in detail. And most importantly, we will question their nature by experimenting with reality and exploring the truth, the fiction, and everything in between.

When we least expect it, we may find ourselves in a dream. And the dream itself is more important than its fulfilment.

This is our reality check. Knock, knock, we check!

This is our reality check.
