Festival Paweł Mykietyn – contexts. Quartet marathon
Paweł Mykietyn / Festival Paweł Mykietyn – contexts
This will be a quartet marathon, besides Lutosławski String Quartet and Royal String Quartet two performers filled with energetic precision – the harpsichordist Małgorzata Sarbak and percussionist Miłosz Pękala. This is both an anthology of Polish chamber music, with hypnotic imagery from a certain train journey with Paweł Szymański, as well as a picture of the evolution of Paweł Mykietyn's composing style found in two radically divergent, though similarly engaging, masterpieces – II and III String quartet.
