Jaśmina Polak was born in Kraków on October 31, 1990. Already during her studies at the Ludwik Solski State Drama School of Theatre in Kraków she performed in important projects by directors of the young generation, including Krzysztof Garbaczewski's Gwiazda Śmierci, Ewelina Marciniak's Zbrodnia, and Radosław Rychcik's Powstanie and W letni sierpniowy dzień.

Still a student, she stunned audiences with her maverick role as Hesia in Marcin Wrona's Moralność Pani Dulskiej, a performance given an honourable mention at Sopot's Two Theatres Festival in 2013.

In 2017, she received the Radio 3 Talent award in theatre for her extraordinary personality and unconventional and creative approach to theatre created in close contact with the audience. In 2018 she joined the Nowy Teatr ensemble. Her first role in a Krzysztof Warlikowski production was in Wyjeżdżamy (We are leaving).
