In Threesome, I share the dance space with the spectral lives of figures from the past. I grapple with their legends. Threesome is a phantasmagoric-choreographic cruising practice through the biographies of three legendary dancers: Stanisław Szymański, Wojciech Wiesiołłowski, and Gerard Wilk. All lived in post-war, communist Poland. Two eventually emigrated – one never decided to leave. How have their bodies been remembered? How did they become aware of and express their sensitivity upon appearing on stage? How can we today reclaim and embody these marginalized lives? How can we create an untamed, monstrous, illogical, corporeal archive of queer history without losing their unique character? Threesome aims to become an opportunity to remind and de-bronze their memories – to reflect on their worlds experienced without us. Threesome is a hazy posthumous ballet, a repressed legacy, a reenactment, a somatic plunder, and a transformation.
Threesome: Do not let the history of ballet and the political regime consume or even devour their biographies. Do not let what is national claim the oberek. Surrender to the other to disappear and exist even more.
"Most of them usually have a human form, but often also a bizarre trait they try to hide. Some divert attention from a hole in the back of their head with a beautiful face. Others cover animal paws with long hair. There are also those that constantly flutter their hands so we don't notice the webs between their fingers. They evoke both admiration and fear. They are believed to love lamenting their difference and simultaneously rejoicing in it."

Awards
- Nomination for Wojtek Grudziński for the Paszporty Polityki Award: His latest solo performance "Threesome/Trzy" (at the Swiss Belluard Bollwerk Festival and Warsaw's Nowy Teatr) is often described as a “misty posthumous ballet, repressed legacy, reenactment, somatic plunder, and transformation,” or a “dance-sexual exorcism.” Grudziński masterfully, movingly, and at times humorously evokes the spirits of ballet masters from the Teatr Wielki during the PRL era: Stanisław Szymański, Wojciech Wiesiołłowski, and Gerard Wilk, becoming a medium for their often-silenced queerness.
