Renaissance and baroque today | New Music Scene
The New Music Scene
Classic music styles illuminated by contemporary audio imagination —Gesualdo, the most avant-garde composer of the Renaissance era, prince and master of madrigals and his contemporary equivalent—Sciarrino. Voices beneath glass come alive beneath his crystal magnifying glass, spatialised in time, the instrumentarium modelled on the Renaissance is precisely connected with new sounds. Anna Radziejewska's artistry and her voice are for Sciarrina an inspiration, which is also true of Cantiere del poema, with texts by the composer himself. The beauty of the baroque fugue with a Mykietynesque construction in this circle is even more tangible.
