Unlike in his previous dramas, Hanoch Levin depicts a man with all his fears and obssessions, at the center of which is a woman. A series of surreal, grotesque and painful visions of dying ensue.

Ikhsh Fisher is a play about the crisis of man, his failed life resulting in the decision to commit suicide. This is a script about dying and the final seconds during which Ikhsh embarks on a symbolic journey in search of his own self. A journey towards the „essence of woman”... Who is she? Why do I know so little about her...? Why do I fear her...? It is also a dream about one woman, always changing, taking on different names, yet still the same. The hero loves and dreams about this woman he once may have lost.
