Everyone keeps talking about AI today. We propose a different meaning for the acronym.
Artistic Intelligence.
Artistic intelligence is one of the most valuable resources of art. It is the ability to feel, imagine, doubt, anticipate, and move beyond what is already known. It is a form of knowledge that does not emerge from databases, but from experience, intuition, and encounter. One of its most important instruments remains the body.
It is often said that the body does not lie. It speaks, suffers, arouses, resists, limits, falls ill, and dies. The body is the primal matter of all performative action. It is the body that searches, creates, remembers, and feels. It is fragile, vulnerable to injury, and mortal. Perhaps this is precisely why it possesses a unique capacity for empathy.
Today, we return to experiences that cannot be generated. To presence. To encounter. To emotion. To intuition. To the risk of being together in the same place and at the same time.
At a moment when we increasingly entrust answers to algorithms, art remains a place that creates questions.
The project is financed by the City of Warsaw.
Co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and co-organized by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute
