After a plan crash, survivors are kicking it back on a volcanic island. Based on this simple plot, Philippe Quesne embarks us upon a fantasy piece drawing from movies, adventure novels, and comics. But behind this blissful euphoria loom concerns about the ecological disaster playing out on our planet. Through a form of understatement, we stealthily shift to a dystopia in the style of J. G. Ballard.
