Stockhausen's fascinating Kreuzspiel (1951), full of violent percussion eruptions and almost African rhythms, is an entry into musical frenzy, the accumulations of which – mechanistic, animalistic and mocking – as in Carola Bauckholt's or Andrzej Kwieciński's pieces, or full of condensed expression as in Lutosławski's Subito, lead to the final oneiric version of frenzy – Romitelli's Amok Koma.
