Nowy Theatre at EXPO 2020 in Dubai
Nowy Theatre and the achievements of its artists are presented in the Polish Pavilion at EXPO 2020 in Dubai. Expo 2020 is the world' s most important economic event. This year is the first time that the World Expo takes place in the Middle East and is being hosted by an Arab country. Poland is one of 190 countries participating in the event.
The surface area of the Polish Pavilion is over 2000 m2. Five chapters form the narrative of the Polish Pavilion and they are connected by the slogan "Poland. Creativity inspired by nature”. Nowy Theatre and its achievements are representative for Polish culture. The section "Poland. Spirit of ingenuity" is dedicated to Polish entrepreneurship, creativity and invention.
The multimedia exhibition features, among other things, collages of video materials, a presentation of Polish companies, products and achievements as well as the most important contemporary phenomena in Polish culture - personalities, places and institutions. Both works from the gaming or digital culture sector are represented, as well as museums, movies, philharmonics, festivals or theaters. Among them are: Nowy Theatre, The Helena Modrzejewska National Stary Theatre, Polish Dance Theatre, Polin Museum and Dream Adoption Society collective.
EXPO 2020 will last until 31 March 2022.
